APPLICATIONS

  • A high impedance inductor that prevents distribution line carrier signals from being shunted to ground through grounded distribution capacitors.
  • Provides low impedance to ground at 60 hertz power frequency, but a high impedance to ground to the carrier signal.
  • Designed to withstand the switching duty imposed by switched capacitor banks and fault currents that may be associated with capacitor failures.
  • A single CBU is needed for each phase of a single bushing, ground capacitor bank.
  • The three-phase bank composed of two bushing capacitors may be blocked with a single CBU placed in the common or neutral of the capacitor bank.
